FORTHEM Alliance Call for Proposals on Share Funding Projects 2021-2022

The FORTHEM Outreach Mission wants to encourage a co-design approach, where dialogue and a true cooperation with the surrounding schools, companies, public institutions and social actors replace a one-way transfer of information from universities. Now we have a new opportunity for you – FORTHEM Share Funding.

Do you have a concept involving society, arranging activities with schools, NGOs or other associations, which you would like to carry out in your own university area? Do you have an idea you would like to further develop in collaboration with FORTHEM Alliance member universities? FORTHEM Share Funding could be a way for you to increase the effectivity of your idea!

You develop an idea and a project with other staff members, involving also students and external partners, from at least one other FORTHEM University.

FORTHEM helps you to find staff members from other universities for your project by posting a request similar to a job advertisement ("We are looking for someone for our project...") to which other staff members can reply and contact you. You will also find on our website a list with the student associations within the FORTHEM Alliance, with whom you can cooperate within your project.

The projects should have a European added value by addressing priorities identified at European level according to the Sustainable Development Goals adopted by all UN member states, which provide a shared vision of a sustainable future free of hunger, inequality and poverty based on the principles of inclusion, solidarity and active citizenship.

The projects can be implemented physically, in a hybrid way or, due to the current situation, completely digitally!

You are welcome to involve an NGO, schools, other associations and students in your project. This will give you additional points when your application is evaluated.

Timetable:

Please note that the actions or events you organise in the frame of your project must take place before the end of May 2022.

You can submit an application while the call is open. The latest date to do so is 28th February 2022. Due to the tight timetable, each proposal will be evaluated shortly after it is received. After this, the applicants will be informed about the decision of the evaluation committee within as short a time period as possible.

You can develop a project with at least one other FORTHEM university.

You need to carefully show in your application how the other member university/-ies concretely participate/-s in your project.

To maximise the impact of your project, it should have a clear and strong strategy for communication and dissemination of its activities and results.
