Asociación de Estudiantes de Medicina en Urgencias y Emergencias (AEMES)

Pablo Buck Sainz-Rozas

We are AEMES- Asociación de Estudiantes de Medicina en Urgencias y Emergencias-, an association registered in the National Register of Associations and with official headquarters in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry of the University of Valencia. It is formed by students from health related degrees such as Nursing, Odontology, Psychology, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Biomedical Engineering and Medicine, with a great interest in emergency medicine. This project first started from the hard work and enthusiasm of a small group of Medicine students, and has developed to be a large team with increasing dedication.

We aim to:
1. Allow the Health Science students to know more about Emergency Medicine, as well as being able to organise, along with other organisations, and participate in activities related to this.
2. Increase the outreach of scientific techniques, processes and applications of Emergency Medicine within the community.
3. Promote the active participation of the Health Science students in projects and activities dedicated to Emergency Medicine.
4. Allow associative life within the Health Science students that are part of the association.

Erasmus Student Network en UV

Pablo Díaz Tapia

ESN operates at 3 levels: local, national and international. The association works to create a more flexible and mobile educational environment, supporting and developing student exchange and providing an intercultural experience.
In short, ESN:
- works in the interest of international students, to improve the social and practical integration of international students, represents the needs and rights of international students at the local, national and international levels, provides relevant information on mobility programmes, motivates students to live abroad, works on the reintegration of students returning to their countries of origin, contributes to the improvement and accessibility of student mobility, cares about its members, promotes values of volunteerism and active citizenship
At the local level, we work with different causes: cultural, social inclusion, health and well-being, environment, equality and education
The aim of all these causes is none other than to complete the stay abroad with the values of the Erasmus programme. Erasmus should be an opportunity to get to know new cultures and new educational systems, to find new friendships, etc. but it should also serve as an inspiration for the future. With Social Erasmus, Erasmus exchange students gain a new perspective beyond their cognitive skills if they do not go on an Erasmus stay, leaving their small footprint on society, which, between them, is a big impact. That is why the slogan of the project is: Leave your mark!

Cuidar al que cuida

Alba Arnau Gil

Our proposal consists in offering resources to caretakers of dependent people with mental or physical disorders. We are a group of four students who share personal and academic interests in the proposed field.

On the one hand, our academic interest is based on our common field of study, psychology and mental health. On the other hand, the corner stone of our interest is the experiences of our relatives who go through the caretaking situation of dependent people.

We consider our proposal of great interest, as it offers a new focus to a widely addressed topic, the dependence relationship in physical and mental disorders. Until now, the aid has been provided mainly to the dependent person leaving out the caretaker needs.

To end up with, we believe in our proposal’s potential due to its crosscutting characteristics (gender, socioeconomic level, familiar scope and wellbeing). Furthermore, we consider that it has a great international proyection, as this problem is shared in multiple cultures.

Disability is formed when the demands of the environment exceed personal abilities.  Due to that, from our project, we are committed to citizen integration and social participation to promote the elimination of architectural barriers at a universal level.  We attach particular importance to the fact that people with any type of disability can develop their life plan from the principles of equality, equity and dignity.  With this we think that the creation of egalitarian laws and the promotion of acts, communications and campaigns of diffusion are fundamental.
In addition, the acceptance and promotion of diversity as well as the elimination of prejudice are positively affected by the promotion of a more inclusive society.

Benjamín Lacruz

The project that we would like to carry out consists in generating a series of processes and concrete and well-defined tools that permit us create all types of musical instruments printed at 3D from the management at the little scale of plastic waste.

Our main reason and motivation is to make alliances and improve a network with different students and university professional teams from different countries.

There are four fields in which we want to work on this project:

1. Holistic Education

2. Social Art

3. Sociocultural Management

4. Community, psychosocial and emotional health.

We have experience and we want to work and intercede with women, migrants, children, intergenerational teams and groups (from little children to seniors).
